Get Certified
PTCRB certification ensures that wireless devices meet industry standards for performance, interoperability, and reliability across operator networks. Whether you are building a device from the ground up or integrating a certified chipset into your design, PTCRB provides the framework, processes, and resources you need to bring your product to market with confidence.
The Certification Process
Device manufacturers request certification through an online web application (certification database), work with an authorized lab to complete required testing, submit documentation and fees, and receive PTCRB certification once all requirements are verified.
Verify
Determine whether your device requires any additional operator-specific testing for your target markets.
Comply
Comply with government regulations in your target markets.
Pay
Pay the certification fee and lab testing fee.
Receive
You will receive confirmation of certification once all requirements are met.
Requirements Documents
The certification requirements are defined in a set of documents managed by the PTCRB Working Group. These documents ensure devices are compliant with internationally recognized standards and provide consistency in testing across authorized labs.
The PTCRB Program Management Document (PPMD) defines the process to obtain certification.
The PTCRB NAPRD03 Document defines the technical requirements for certification.
The PVG 11 Document identifies the frequency bands for testing.
IoT Devices
